BRAND AND AD COPY
DIGITAL ADS, PRINT ACTIVITY BOOKLETS, PRINT ADS, AND MOBILE APP COPY

LEGO

If little 13-year-old Amanda found out she not only had a job as a writer in the future, but sometimes had to step up and develop activities for Harry PotterTM she would have probably fainted. While helping out the LEGOTM team I helped with copy for a wide variety of deliverable types, following their brand guidelines and changing up brand tones depending on the franchise and audience. I worked on this client as part of a wonderful brand team I joined in a freelance/contract capacity.

Digital ads

Most of the digital ad copy I worked on for LEGOTM was for on site ads for retailers like Barnes & Noble, Target, or Kohls. Every retailer had different requests, focuses, and rules for creative to meet.

Activity book for girls

For girls and parents who maybe haven’t seen the HUGE range of worlds LEGOTM has to play with, we created this activity book to show that there are sets for movies, books, and games they are probably already into!

We worked together to come up with activities and games for each set focus and then created versions for Canada, UK, the US, and more. Print versions were handed out in LEGO stores and events and a digital version was also available.
Creative Directors: Frank Gubitz and James Bell
Graphic Designers: Doris Liu and Yuzlem Cholak
Copywriter: Amanda Moss-Morin

Mobile app copy

To help this brand team I often helped create content for the kid-friendly LEGOTM Life app (now replaced by LEGOTM Play), an app geared for LEGO kids to connect in a safe way. Sometimes that was in the form of creating supporting content for small workshops to bigger Masterclass-style challenges.
